Mission Statement
It is the Mission of Lincoln Elementary to provide a safe and nurturing environment where community, family and school members are involved and dedicated to helping every student work to become a life long learner. As students work to become effective communicators, problem solvers and critical thinkers, their success will be celebrated.
Please take a moment to read this important information from Ellensburg School District Superintendent, Dr. Paul Farris.á This is important information regarding our school calendar and the closure of our school year:
á
In a number of school districts in the state teachers have voted to take one-day walkouts to protest the legislature not fully funding basic education. Yesterday, Ellensburg School District teachers voted to also participate in a one-day walkout which will occur on Monday, June 1, 2015.á This walkout is directed at the state legislature and not the Ellensburg School District. In order to meet the 180 day requirement for our students, the district will have a full day of instruction on Friday, June 12, 2015 and the last day for the school year will be a minimal day on Monday, June 15, 2015 in which students will be released at 10:30 am. I understand that cancelling school on Monday, June 1, 2015 will impact the families of the Ellensburg School District, and I apologize for any inconvenience.á However, without the teachers in the classrooms, it would simply not be possible to have school.
